Spring Wheat

The 10 year average area of spring wheat is 7,000 hectares, ranging from 3,800 ha in 2019 to 11,500 ha in 2020. This variation is influenced by the area of winter cereals sown the previous autumn.

Yields depend on the growing season, with a target yield of 8.5t/ha being achievable. The 10-year average yield is 7.8 t/ha. Late harvest can have an impact on yield and quality during a wet harvest.
