Spring barley

Spring Barley

Close on 80% of spring barley is sown on lighter land with 25% of heavier land planted. With dry weather forecast for the remainder of the week it is expected that that majority of this seasons crop will be planted by the end of the week. Early sown crops are breaking the ground and malting varieties can get their main split of nitrogen once tramlines are visible.
